Cheque this out £3,000 raised!

Triple grand Awarded

Through sheer determination and hard work Donna completed her 365 day Danceathon challenge raising money for three local causes. Her aim was to raise a total of £1,000 but as the year progressed and donations rolled in it was evident that this total would be smashed. Donna (pictured in the centre) can be seen handing over three cheques for £1,000 to each of her chosen charities, CHESS Homeless Charity, Helen Rollason Cancer Charity and South East and Central Essex MIND.

“On behalf of everybody at Helen Rollason Cancer Charity I would like to thank Donna for supporting us. Her enthusiasm and sense of fun was infectious and we looked forward to seeing what style of dance she would be doing next. The monies we have received will be used to support local people living with cancer. In addition Rochelle House, our Support Centre in Lawn Lane, Chelmsford, we have recently opened new community hubs in Braintree and Great Baddow. This will give more people the opportunity to receive complementary therapy and counselling, free of charge”.

“CHESS Homeless would like to say a huge big thank you to Donna for her drive and determination in completing her dance-a-thon.  Her amazing support is very much appreciated and she raised the staggering amount of £1000 for CHESS Homeless.  The money raised will go towards helping single adults who are less fortunate and find themselves homeless for whatever reason”.

“When I first heard what Donna was undertaking, I couldn’t quite believe it! Donna has now completed this feat and has made a huge contribution in donations and raising awareness of local charities over the past year. She has shown great determination and commitment. We are grateful that Donna chose South East and Central Mind and her donation will be going specifically to make a positive impact for the people in our Great Baddow Centre experiencing mental health difficulties”.
