Who We Are

Chelmsford 4 Good is an exciting new charity project which creates and reinforces relationships between local businesses and local communities.

It’s not just about money, it’s about everybody helping to make Chelmsford a great place to live and work.

Small Actions + People Power = Big Change

Chelmsford 4 Good creates and reinforces relationships between local communities and businesses through four key ways:

Time

Give an employee time to volunteer. Whether it’s one hour or one day per year, you and your staff can help support a coffee morning, marshal or take part in a sponsored event, help with a sensory garden, knit for communities, paint a wall in a local older people’s lunch club - the opportunities are limitless!

Offering employees paid time off to benefit the Chelmsford community is a great way of fulfilling your corporate social responsibility policy and building a reputation as a responsible business. We will work with you to find an activity that suits your business and will excite your staff.

Skills

Use your talents to help others. Decorating, cooking, repairing a fence, shop window dressing, IT, photography, design or perhaps helping a local good cause raise awareness of its positive impact. Everyone can offer something. What skill can you share?

Resources

Offer something that a local community or voluntary group needs. This could be supplying biscuits for a coffee morning, cement to create a smooth and safe path for disabled access, a car parking space or even a venue for a meeting. There are lots more ideas here.

Money

If you prefer to give financially why not:
  • Establish a payroll giving scheme for employees
  • Display local appeals on your staff notice board or on your website
  • Make a donation through our “Donate Now” facility
  • Match Funding - help charitable groups to seek a wider range of grants through offering to match fund a proposal
Money raised by is given to local good causes.
